With the reopening of borders on 1st August, Samoa Tourism’s international media visit programme has restarted.

The Samoa Tourism Authority in a statement says their programme is a key strategic activity which Samoa Tourism undertakes to drive brand awareness and increase travel preference for the destination in key target markets.

Recently, travel writers and reporters for a range of influential media from New Zealand, Australia and American Samoa were in the country to capture content for television, print and digital channels targeting audiences in the mainstream leisure and visiting friends and relatives (VFR) segments.

  • New Zealand – New Zealand Herald, Stuff and (the) AM breakfast show on TV3, Radio Samoa, BluWave, Pacific Media Network
  • Australia – The Weekend Australian, Travel + Luxury, Escape, Life & Leisure, Studio 10 and Travel Monitor, Radio Samoa
  • American Samoa – KVZK TV, KHJ FM, Samoa News

Media were hosted to a range of activities and experiences across both Upolu and Savaii islands and destination content and features targeting key audiences from the visit will support Samoa Tourism’s direct marketing activities as well as those of operators.
