The Samoa Tourism Authority is stepping up its “Beautiful is Back” campaign in promoting Samoa to the world, by hosting a media tour with journalists from the Region, including Australia, New Zealand, and American Samoa with most of the expenses paid for.
This is in line with Samoa opening its international borders two years after closing due to the measles epidemic and Covid-19 pandemic.
The tour is one week from 1st -5th August 2022.
In an email invitation to the international media, says STA is “super excited with the upcoming reopening of our borders.
“After a long wait, we are finally in a position to welcome international travellers back to our shores.
“In line with our preparations for the first flights carrying our first visitors since lockdowns, we are extending an invitation to you, our media partner, to be a part of this joyful event and to help us share the news with your audiences and the wider travelling community.”
The invitation says that flights, accommodation, transport, and some meals will be provided.
“This is on top of other ground logistics which include entry fees to attraction sites and ferry charges across to the beautiful island of Savaii.”
In the past year, the STA hosted media tours for the local media, but this time the invitation has been extended to overseas media.
