Two Police Officers attends Pacific Leadership in Action Program

Two Samoa Police Prisons and Corrections Services members begin their training for Pacific Leadership in Action Program this week.

Sergeant Lijay and Sergeant Titimaea are in Australia for the Pacific Leadership in Action program.

“A multi-phased program known “to provide a range of leadership development approaches, including personal learning, organisational learning and learning through shared experiences”.

PILA is expanded over four months and will see participants explore leadership in action in the Pacific context.

Pacific Leadership in Action program was designed back in 2020, prior to CoVID-19, with the first program set to kick off in March; however, due to the effects of the global pandemic, the program was put on hold.

The program has since started with a cohort of Fiji Officers in Fiji last year, 2022, with Australia running its first cohort this week.

Sergeants Titimaea Nemaia and Lijay Solofa conclude their first phase on the 31st of March and will commence with their second phase of the program in June.
