The intense high-pressure system centred just west of New Zealand continues to direct fresh to southeasterly solid winds over the island and elevating wave and swell heights above 2.5 metres over Samoa marine waters.
The system is predicted to migrate eastward and maintain fresh to strong wind over the area through Friday morning.
Hence, the Marine Warning and wind advisory remains for Samoa.
The low-pressure system to the east of New Zealand is slowly moving northeastward and will generate swells of 2.5-3 meters or more tonight into tomorrow.
These swells will combine with the king tide tomorrow and may cause coastal inundation mainly to the east and southern coastal areas.
Potential Impacts on Marine Waters: Fresh to strong and gusty winds at times with strong currents and very rough seas.
